Weapons of mass Optimism

...............to grow or prosper vigorously.

The human condition loves to suffer, we all have an automatic default button for it. I have found that when I get into a slump I like to have one word verbs or adjectives in my back pocket. My favorite? You guessed it, T-H-R-I-V-E.

It’s inevitable, we all have “those” days or “those” moments that can welcome a catalyst of unsavory emotions and conditions.....but instead of allowing them to spiral out of control, be prepared. No athlete plays a game without preparation. No contractor builds a house without tools......

Here are some of my weapons of mass optimism :)

Prosperous, Flourishing, Expansive, Opulent, Affluent, Nurtured, Loved, Honored.

Have a word or group of words that lifts your spirits. Kinda like having an imaginary set of earphones singing in your ears.....”Shes a brick Houwzzz.....!!” Just taking a few minutes to step out of “those” emotions and allowing yourself to step into better ones will dramatically change the shape of your day. Stay present, and create a shift that lets you THRIVE!

What are some of your favorite tools of optimism?

Is Negative energy more powerful than positve energy?

I have convinced myself that I have better manifesting power when I am in the worst negative state. Now I am not manifesting things that I desire, oh nooooo. In fact I tend to manifest more of what I don't want. So why is it easier for me to attract what I don't want and less of what I do?

I know what I need to focus on. I know about the power of attraction, and I am fully aware of the idea to focus on what could be rather than what is. So why is it that I feel that one day of shear negativity manifests more into my life, than one day of absolute positivity? Albeit I have a feeling that I tend to be harder on myself than I should be, but do find it much easier to be frustrated and negative for reasons I will never be able to explain. Maybe a lifelong pattern? Possibly a default button on hyper drive? But it begs the question, are we as humans better at manifesting more negative circumstances than positive ones for the mere fact that it's easier? Is negativity more powerful than positivity simply because as a society we are told our entire lives what we can't do rather than what we can? Or do all of us default to a pessimistic nature because at our core we feel we don't deserve it and it is easier for us to have self sabotaging behavior as an excuse?

Today, let's affirm that it is going to be a great day. Today we will be safe, pleasant and abundant, and we will be surrounded by good, kind, happy individuals. And just for good measure, let's throw in that we posess the winning lottery numbers too.............

Love and MUCH abundance

The law of attraction

Napoleon Hill

Every adversity has the seed to a better equivalent.
When I read this three years ago from Napoleon Hill's Think and grow rich, I knew I needed to buy the book. Rarely did I go to a bookstore and buy a book. Come to think of it, rarely did I go to a bookstore. But on that particular day I was guided and felt compelled to go. It was a cold day....bitter cold, and I had just gotten a delicious, hot vanilla latte from Starbucks. As I looked at my watch I realized I still had thirty minutes before my socially acceptable time to arrive at my next appointment. (socially accepted? Boy did I have a ways to go!) So I decided to "run" into the bookstore to eat up some time....or so I thought.

I half heartedly thumbed through various books for about ten minutes and then I read that quote. Originally written in 1937, this book had been read by some of the most influential people of our time. How had I not known about it? With over 100 pages I somehow came to THAT page with THAT quote. It was as if my guide had personally grabbed me by the ear and dragged my butt to THAT quote so she could finally get through to me.

See what you don't realize is that earlier that day, I was in a self pity of a mess. Sick.and.tired.mess. Sick and tired of being broke. Sick and tired of everything going wrong, sick and tired of having everything seem forty thousand times harder for me than the other person, sick and tired of never attracting what I wanted, always getting more of what I didn't.

I plopped down onto the floor and began reading in shear disbelief. Focus on what you want, not on what you don't...... Society's biggest problem is our familiarity with the word impossible....People are so accustomed and comfortable complaining about "what is" rather than focusing on "what could be"....

This book was speaking to me. Now it did not completely change my life, but the book did completely change my life. I still went through hell and back, but most importantly the book made me aware of my behavior. It made me aware of my contradictions. It told me that you can't tell the universe you want more money, and then turn around and say well I can't have that because I can't afford it. And while I never did make it to that appointment, I did make it into a book store and I did learn that: If you think you can, or you think you can't, your right!

Love and light
