Learning to receive

It is as much a Gift to Receive
As it is to Give...

If we resist receiving gifts from others,
we are denying them their chance to give...
Their chance to shine...

Be gracious in accepting what comes to you,

Show gratitude for that received & be grateful
that you were able to offer this Ying to their Yang...

Inspiration, insight and finding your authentic self

title_flourish_with_leaves.jpg 291×303 pixels

So how come with all this fabulous knowledge of wealth, entrepreneurship and bettering oneself have I not 'got it' yet?!  Why am I not a millionaire, high flying business woman?

This is my point!  I have drifted from one change your life book to the next for half my life, each bringing its own gifts and nuggets of insight.  But have I systematically applied them? No. Have I learned the principles? No. Have I sabotaged my chances when they arose? Frequently. And so the story goes...  I know it is not unfamiliar, and that I am not alone in this now.  I know I suffered noteworthy lack of self worth, that I have hidden myself and my talents away from the world for 20 years, feeling small and insignificant for poor reasons...

I have been liberated from a life of self imposed shame, of living in the shadows of life and have stepped, no leapt, into my radiant authentic self - I thank and acknowledge Katherine Woodward Thomas & Claire Zammit of Feminine Power for this [see post below] - they provide the most comprehensive, personal resource experience over 7 weeks that will change your life, for good.  From the bottom of my heart I Believe this, and on the back of my transformation I am writing the next chapter of my life myself!! Up-front, not the biography!!

Inspiration

books - Google Images

Or are they???   Reading the likes of these isn't going to lead the way to an enlightend life any time soon, is it?!  Seriously, what are you nourising your spirit with?  What mind food do you consume - with all the doom and gloom and negativity that abounds in the media supressing the enlightened soul?
We need to counteract such attacks on our evolutionary well-being and stand strong in our conviction that a better way of life can be lived - we all have an active role to play - and as Amanda has highlighed so well below - it is all too easy to get sucked into perpetual misery and the 'my life sucks' mode of thinking...  STOP!!  Take a stance on how much negativity enters your life and start showing up in the light of well being and take action towards the life you want to live!

Here are some books that have inspired me on my spiritual path over the years, in the order they came to me:

* The Trick to Money Is Having Some - Stuart Wilde - Laugh out loud, free yourself from financial struggle...

* Think & Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill - the core principles of wealth, standing the test of time!

* Millionaire Upgrade - Richard Parkes Cordock - brilliant unfolding of entrepreneurial knowledge, written as a story - it's not so difficult if I BELIEVE in a better way of the world...

* The Richest Man in Babylon - George S Glason - should be essential reading on the ways of money management - wonderful tales spinning only the common sense truths!

* & I confess... anything by Anthony Robbins, but I perfer his audio because he is such an inspiring person and dynamic speaker.

Share in the Comments below - some of the actions you intend to take to counteract the mass negativity in the world - we stand by you and with you as you journey - come on over to the ZenChakra Forum and join the conversations, find support and just 'be' in the ZenChakra state of mind!

Garden of the Gods

Ever feel like you aren’t yourself? Or feel like each day is a repeating, familiar struggle that refuses to change for the better? In order to create change in our lives it is necessary for us to let go and allow. Sounds easy, right? Unfortunately for us, our default button always resets to lack and struggle. We are terrific masters at suffering. Think about it. When sitting at dinner with friends do you go on and on about how much money you are making, how easy the bills are to pay and that the government has finally gotten right? Of course not. We like to complain and be miserable by nature. Get yourself into any group and it is easy to fall into the abyss. Instead of falling into the familiar struggle, tonight or in the morning call on your angels and affirm:

"Wake me up to see who I really am, and free me of my limited perceptions that I have taken on.” ~ Carol Tuttle

Be prepared to be blown away and SEE who you really are. You will honestly take your own breath away! All it takes is a simple request. Believe, love and trust in yourself. You are a child of God and your life’s purpose matters. And I guarantee you that your purpose by God’s definition doesn’t include struggle, but rather unconditional and eternal love.

The law of attraction

Napoleon Hill

Every adversity has the seed to a better equivalent.
When I read this three years ago from Napoleon Hill's Think and grow rich, I knew I needed to buy the book. Rarely did I go to a bookstore and buy a book. Come to think of it, rarely did I go to a bookstore. But on that particular day I was guided and felt compelled to go. It was a cold day....bitter cold, and I had just gotten a delicious, hot vanilla latte from Starbucks. As I looked at my watch I realized I still had thirty minutes before my socially acceptable time to arrive at my next appointment. (socially accepted? Boy did I have a ways to go!) So I decided to "run" into the bookstore to eat up some time....or so I thought.

I half heartedly thumbed through various books for about ten minutes and then I read that quote. Originally written in 1937, this book had been read by some of the most influential people of our time. How had I not known about it? With over 100 pages I somehow came to THAT page with THAT quote. It was as if my guide had personally grabbed me by the ear and dragged my butt to THAT quote so she could finally get through to me.

See what you don't realize is that earlier that day, I was in a self pity of a mess. Sick.and.tired.mess. Sick and tired of being broke. Sick and tired of everything going wrong, sick and tired of having everything seem forty thousand times harder for me than the other person, sick and tired of never attracting what I wanted, always getting more of what I didn't.

I plopped down onto the floor and began reading in shear disbelief. Focus on what you want, not on what you don't...... Society's biggest problem is our familiarity with the word impossible....People are so accustomed and comfortable complaining about "what is" rather than focusing on "what could be"....

This book was speaking to me. Now it did not completely change my life, but the book did completely change my life. I still went through hell and back, but most importantly the book made me aware of my behavior. It made me aware of my contradictions. It told me that you can't tell the universe you want more money, and then turn around and say well I can't have that because I can't afford it. And while I never did make it to that appointment, I did make it into a book store and I did learn that: If you think you can, or you think you can't, your right!
